CJ - Instructor Development Training - 32 Hours

Prepares criminal justice instructor candidates to create a learning environment that supports learners. Competencies include planning and managing learning, training and evaluation methods and delivering teaching scenarios. This curriculum is endorsed by the Law Enforcement Standards Board and is required of instructors seeking LESB certification. This is a pre-requisite course for all LESB approved specialized training courses. 

OMVWI-SFST Instructor Training - 16 Hours

February 13-14, 2025

This 16-hour SFST Instructor Course prepares law enforcement professionals to effectively administer and teach the Operating a Motor Vehicle While Intoxicated (OMVWI)/Standard Field Sobriety Testing (SFST) training progra. Emphasizes techniques that support active learning, various learning preferences and needs, and continuous improvement in teaching/learning. Successful students will become LESB Certified SFST Instructors. 

High Risk Vehicle Contacts Instructor Training - 24 Hours

April 7, 8, 9, 2025

This course prepares WI LESB certified officer's to effectively administer and teach the vehicle contacts training program.  This class emphasizes the legal basis for making vehicle contacts, how to conduct a threat assessment to help determine the appropriate type of contact, and, how to conduct different types of vehicle contacts, how to coach students, manage the classroom, and manage practical skills training. The goal of this program is to prepare certified officers who are proficient in making vehicle contacts to delivery the LESB-approved vehicle contact curriculum.

EVOC Instructor Training - 40 Hours

May 15, 16 & 19, 20, 2025

This course prepares LESB certified officers to effectively administer and teach the Emergency Vehicle Operations and Control (EVOC) training program. The program follows LESB training guidelines and involves hands-on classroom presentations to be successfully completed by the instructor candidates. The goal of this program is to prepare certified officers who are proficient in driving a vehicle under emergency conditions to deliver LESB-approved EVOC curriculum.
