The mission of the Northcentral Technical College Foundation, Inc. (Foundation) is to actively seek out and partner with philanthropic businesses and individuals who wish to invest in our communities through grants, scholarships, endowments, and in-kind gifts. Our Board of Directors, Officers, assigned staff, and volunteers play a key role in assuring that high standards of ethical practice are adhered to in the management and use of financial resources. The Foundation embraces the principles of this code and expects adherence to and advocacy of these principles in their personal and professional conduct. The principles embody rules regarding individual and peer responsibilities, as well as responsibilities to the NTC Foundation, Northcentral Technical College, donors, the public, and other stakeholders. As representatives of the Foundation and Northcentral Technical College (NTC), we must practice honesty and integrity in fulfilling our responsibilities and comply with all applicable laws and regulations.

NTC Foundation Board of Directors, Officers, assigned staff, and volunteers will:

  • Practice our professions with integrity, honesty, truthfulness, and adherence to the absolute obligation to safeguard the public trust.
  • Act according to the highest standards and visions of our organization, profession, and conscience.
  • Act in good faith, responsibly, with due care, competence, and diligence, without misrepresenting materials, facts or allowing one’s independent judgment to be subordinated.
  • Be responsible, transparent, and accountable for all of our actions.
  • Demonstrate concern for the interests and well-being of individuals affected by our actions.
  • Value the privacy, freedom of choice, and interests of all those affected by our actions.
  • Comply with the letter and intent of applicable rules and regulations of federal, state, and local governments, and other appropriate private and public regulatory agencies.
  • Safeguard privacy rights and respect the confidentiality of information acquired in the course of one’s work; privileged or confidential information acquired in the course of one’s work will not be used for personal advantage or disclosed to unauthorized parties.
  • Avoid even the appearance of any criminal offense or professional misconduct.
  • Foster cultural diversity and pluralistic values, and treat all people with dignity and respect.
  • Avoid conflicts of interest, appropriately handling actual or apparent conflicts of interest in our relationships.
  • Achieve responsible use of and control over all assets and resources employed or entrusted.
  • Provide constituents with information that is accurate, complete, objective, relevant, timely, and understandable.
  • Put philanthropic mission above personal gain.
  • Affirm, through personal giving, a commitment to philanthropy and its role in society.
  • Encourage colleagues to embrace and practice ethical principles and standards of professional practice.
  • Act responsibly toward the communities in which we work and for the benefit of the communities that we serve.
