This course provides the paramedic learner with the comprehensive knowledge of pharmacology required to formulate and administer a pharmacological treatment plan intended to mitigate emergencies and improve the overall health of the patient.

Attend Your Way -- Students can join open labs on Wednesdays and Thursdays on the Wausau Campus and/or Students can complete labs at other locations as long as the skills are signed off by an approved preceptor. and/or If students have access to equipment but do not have an approved preceptor, they can videotape themselves and the instructor will grade the student's video. -- In-Person Labs Available Wednesdays and Thursdays from noon to 6 pm at the Emergency Services Training Center (ESTC) at the Wausau Main Campus -- • Tuesdays – an optional in-person lecture from 1 pm to 3 pm. This lecture is specific to student needs within the program. Sometimes we go longer based on student needs. Usually, they are “burnt out” at 2 hours – If students show up in person, the class is recorded and added to the Canvas shell for all students to review. • Wednesday Zoom Meetings – Zoom meetings are for program updates and reminders and allow students to ask questions about the program. These rotate every other week from noon to 5 pm. This allows students to attend based on their work schedules. If a Zoom meeting is missed the student must complete the Zoom meeting assignment by watching the recorded video of the meeting • Thursday – an optional in-person study group from 1 pm to 3 pm.– this is where students collaboratively work together with the instructor leading the group on assignments either due that week or in the future. This is based upon the needs of the students that attend. Other students may join in by Zoom. - This meeting is not recorded because the real-time collaboration is so important.
