East Coast Swing 7:00pm - 8:00pm
East Coast Swing is easily one of the most versatile dances for wedding receptions, parties, and live music festivals. It's a super fun dance, a must have for social dancing. The basics consist of “tri-ple-step, tri-ple-step, rock, step, also known as 1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5, 6”. It's perfect for a beginners and it can be danced to the beat of big band music, blues, and rock & roll. We will start from square one, work on the basic step, then build up progressively. You will also learn techniques that will jazz up your dancing. At the end of six weeks, you will be swinging to the music and smiling with confidence!!

Double Two Step 8:00pm - 9:00pm
Double Two Step also known as the treaveling East Coast Swing. The basic timing is “1 and 2, 3 and 4, 5, 6” just like East Coast Swing. It's usually danced to slower swing or country music, dance couples flow on the dance floor casually as on a lazy river. It's one of the most practical dance as the majoriety of today's county and swing music fits the Double Two rhythm. We'll start from the basic “tri-ple-step, tri-ple-step, walk, walk”, practice, then build up from there. Sign up today, you will surely enjoy learning Double Two Step.

Leanne Henriksen - Certified Swing & Ballroom Dance Instructor
Leanne is a retired pharmacist who has studied dancing with various coaches for 10 plus years. Her passion to spread the joy of social dancing prompted her to pursue an intensive dance instructor training program to further equip herself for teaching. She loves teaching and enjoys watching the smiles beaming from her students faces.
Cancellation Policy
An attendee must notify NTC of a cancellation prior to the beginning of the event in order to have fees removed or a refund issued. Attendees who do not attend without notifying Continuing Education will be responsible for payment of all course fees and will not be eligible for a refund.
