Academies & Start College Now

Academies are an opportunity for students to take a group of college-level courses that are related to their future career plans. Participants receive dedicated support from NTC’s Academy Specialist.

Alternative High School

NTC’s Alternative High School serves students at risk of not completing high school in a traditional setting by providing the attention necessary to help them succeed both academically and personally.

Career Coach Services

NTC partners with your school district to help students and parents with career and college planning. Career Coaches work with your school and are here to help.

Credit for Prior Learning (AP Scores)

High school students can submit their Advanced Placement (AP) exam scores to earn credit toward their program at NTC.

Credit Recovery Options

NTC is pleased to offer a variety of credit recovery options for high school students that are available through customized contracts with area K-12 school districts.

Disability Services

In order to receive college credit for Academies & Start College Now, high school students need to be approved for college accommodations through NTC’s Disability Services office.

Distance Learning & Contracted Courses

Distance learning contracts provide high school students the opportunity to earn both high school and college credits. Interactive Video Conferencing allows students to complete courses instructed by NTC faculty without ever leaving their high school.

Dual Credit

Dual credit allows students to earn both high school and college credit by taking college-level courses in high school. These courses are taught by high school instructors at no cost to the student or the high school.

Financial Aid

NTC hosts free financial aid information sessions to simplify the complex financial aid process for prospective college students.

K–12 Events

NTC partners with area middle and high schools to help students meet their academic and career planning goals through events designed to introduce students to career pathways, inspiring students through hands-on activities.

The Branch Academy

The Branch Academy gives students the training, connections and experiences needed to develop the skills necessary for the careers of tomorrow.

Tours

Customized tours of NTC’s campuses can be scheduled for the date and time that works best for you.

Youth Apprenticeship

Youth Apprenticeship is a rigorous one- or two-year elective statewide program for high school juniors and seniors. It combines academic and technical instruction with mentored, paid, on-the-job learning that makes a real world connection for students.
