If you are eligible for and interested in obtaining a work-study position the process is as follows:
- complete the Federal Work-Study application (online)
- review current open positions (online)
- When you find a position you are interested in, make an appointment for an interview with the contact person, listed in the position description.
- If you are selected for the position, stop at the Financial Aid Office in Student Services to pick-up an employment packet.
The packet includes:
- W-4
- I-9 Form, Proof of Eligibility to work in the United States.
- Work permit, if under 18 years of age.
- Direct Deposit Form
- Confidentiality Statement
Student Responsibilities
Please read carefully and in its entirety. We want you to know as much as possible about
work-study policies and procedures.
Time Sheet
FWS employees are responsible for recording time worked accurately on their
time sheet each pay period. Return timesheets to the Student Financial Aid
Office no later than Friday afternoon of the end of the payroll period.
Supervisors Responsibilities
This information for Supervisors has been prepared specifically for the use of the
Federal Work Study supervisors. It is intended to promote their understanding of the
Fundamental regulations and procedures which should be followed with all student employment positions at Northcentral Technical College.
